Note: Rhapsody and Creative ZEN V Plus users.
To improve your playback experience, Creative recommends you use the
latest available version of Rhapsody with at least version 1.10.03 of
the ZEN V Plus firmware, available for download here.
To update your Rhapsody software:
- Launch Rhapsody and log in.
- Select Help and Check for Updates.
- Follow the onscreen prompts.
Currently, the following players support PlaysForSure either out of
box or with an available firmware upgrade:
ZEN X-Fi Series, ZEN Mozaic, ZEN Mozaic LX, ZEN (4, 8, 16, 32 G), ZEN Vision W, ZEN V Plus,
ZEN V, ZEN Vision:M, ZEN Vision, ZEN Sleek Photo, ZEN Micro, ZEN MicroPhoto,
ZEN Sleek, ZEN Touch, ZEN Xtra, and ZEN PMC.
Please check the following to ensure smooth usage experience with your Creative MP3 player and your online music provider.
Check the version of Media Player
- Open Media Player.
- Select Help from the top bar Menu.
- Click About Windows Media Player.

Check your Windows XP version
- Click Start, Settings and Control Panel.
- Select System.

Check your Firmware version
- Open the Main Menu on your player by pressing the Menu / Back button.
- Scroll down and select System.
- Select Information to view the firmware version.
MP3 players which operate solely as a removable drive do not posess the ability to playback subscription based content.These players include: The MuVo series, ZEN Nano, ZEN Nano Plus, ZEN Stone and the ZEN Stone Plus.
Note: If your MP3 player takes a long time (30 seconds or longer) to start playing back subscription contents, transferring music store or subscription content to MTP devices may dramatically slow down or fail, or if it displays error "Unable to get device certificates", download and install the following latest Windows Media updates on DRM and license management.
